Description
Philodendron White Princess is a self-heading (non-climbing) Philodendron hybrid that produces glossy, elongated leaves with bold white variegation ranging from crisp half-moon sectors to scattered speckles and streaks. The contrast between the pure white and deep green is striking, and new leaves often emerge with a pinkish tint on the white sections. It grows upright and compact, forming a dense rosette that does not require a support.
Origins
Philodendron White Princess is a cultivated hybrid. Philodendrons as a genus are native to the tropical Americas, growing in a range of forest habitats from dense understorey to canopy edges.
Soil and Substrate
Our Monstera and Philodendron Premium Potting Mix provides a peat-free, well-draining blend suited to this hybrid. Water when the top 2–3 cm of substrate is dry. Bright, indirect light is essential to maintain strong white variegation; lower light will encourage the plant to produce more green.
